Chiaki was still fixated on the countdown that echoed in her head. Although System never had a voice, she felt she could hear someone say 'three, two, one' to her, loud and clear.

Her fingers still trembled mid-air when she paused before touching the pyramid monitor. Pressing the area where it told her to do so to launch the subsequent beam, she inhaled and waited.
