One could enter the Council hall from any way in the capital city since all roads led to this place. It probably explained partially why all the attacks in the capital gathered around the hall. It functioned like a state leader's palace of the old countries in the past, before the pandemic hit.

In perfect symmetry with how people could enter, news coming out of the Council hall also travelled fast, far and wide. With the focus of the meeting suddenly shifted to her, Chiaki was well aware that by lunchtime, even the low-rank officials in the mayor's office would have heard about this commotion.

"Could it be that General Spring has fallen for Lord Hua?" 

The question left a stale taste in the air as no one dared speak. All eyes were fixated on Chiaki. And yet, she had her conscience clear and mind pure, so she could give an explanation to everyone involved in the meeting.
