The benefit about fighting parents was how easy you could play both sides. He didn't like it, but that didn't mean he would take advantage of it. He had gotten a new laptop out of mum. He had made 'the mistake' of mentioning it to dad, and he was getting a new sound system. The only downside now was mum driving him to school and also picking him up. He had to brush a hand down Beck's face to destroy that puppy look. For now their relationship would be like this till he got back to his dad's.

Another disadvantage though was having to please both sides. He had to convince dad that mum hadn't stolen him, also had to convince mum that dad hadn't brainwashed him. He was progressing. Mum was constantly trying to make up for all the time she had missed out on. He didn't know how to feel about that so he just let her fuss all over him.
