VALENTINA

Rowan was being cold to me.
I tried to tell myself that I was overthinking his attitude and misinterpreting it for withdrawal, but I wasn't much of an overthinker and my instincts had been the ones to help me on many of my missions.
The only reason I was still breathing was because they were right most of the time.
This morning, there had been an unmistakable tension between us, one I couldn't understand. My intention to tease him about his pettiness over my comment on his dick had faded away when he started addressing me curtly about the things he was on a search for.
Soul objects, he called them. He said he needed them to kill the King. How? I didn't know, he didn't tell me.
It was probably something I didn't have to worry about. I would be long gone soon anyways if all should go as planned which I really hoped it would.
He had brought us here after that.
This Tavern.
Arrrgh! This Prince is everywhere! It's annoying.
