She looked around and leaned in further.

Something hit me at that moment.

If these creatures' hearing was really good, as I suspected, could her words really be a secret or was there something she was doing that was blocking it out?

Finding out what she had to tell me was more important though, so I pushed the worry aside.

"What is it?"

"It is just a rumour but the King uses the humans for something else but since they are not really important, no one has ever really bothered to find out what it is. I pray with all my unk, that you do not end up there."

Then she smiled, letting out a long breath and I realized something.

She had been going paler while she had been talking to me.

Wait did she just use some of her life force to tell me some secrets?

Wow!

I felt unworthy.
