Édouard leaned his head on the leather chair and closed his eyes. Charles informed him how Zoe begged for death, but not choose to speak up.

"I believe I've completed the majority of my tasks. Now, I'm ready to delve into understanding Casimir's methods," Édouard declared.

Charles' demeanor shifted to a more solemn one. "Given Princess Charlotte is with His Grace's child, he needs to be extremely careful while executing his plan. His Grace has even asked Rainard to stay out of it," Charles voiced, his worry etched clearly across his face.

"I know, Charles. I don't want to involve more people in this matter. Casimir nay target Rainard. Earlier, I thought to let him help me, but after a much deeper contemplation I have decided to work all by myself. Damien is ready to assist me, so when I think he's needed, I'll take his help," Édouard elaborated and opened his eyes.
