Charlotte and Édouard arrived at the palace before noon. Seeing the decorations in the palace, Charlotte understood the marriage preparations were going with enthusiasm and joy.
Charles welcomed both Charlotte and Édouard. "I hope the journey wasn't tiring," he humbly said.
"It wasn't tiring. We had taken a rest in the early morning in a rest house close to the capital," Édouard replied. Charlotte told them they should continue conversing while she headed to the bathhouse with Zoe.
"Was everything good behind my back?" Édouard asked him as he removed the overcoat.
Charles took the overcoat from the Prince and replied, "Everything was peaceful, Your Grace. His Majesty has taken an important decision of sending Prince Jemeiah to the Western Province."
