As days passed, Both Felix and Asher got their heats, passing them with each other's help. This time however, Asher's heat was as usual as ever.

He got the signs beforehand. Like his first few times when he got slight body pain and feverish before the real heat struck him. And also, like the cherry on top, his heat came on the exact day the duke got his. Right on the first day of the duke's heat.

Maybe the universe wanted them to have less sex because they would end up doing it frequently later anyway.

This sudden change was something Asher didn't expect but made him really happy.
