Capítulo 22: Chapter 22: Drunken Honesty

Brenna POV

Everything slowed down for a moment as Kieran shifted his gaze up at me as I hovered next to the table. I knew Sebastian and Amanda must be staring at me, but I wasn’t worried about what they thought of me. Not at a time like this anyway.

Kieran’s eyes were wide, but the rest of his expression was blank, just like every other time I saw him.

“Hello, miss! It’s good to see you again. Would you like to have a seat with us?” Sebastian asked sweetly as he tried to motion the bartender for another round.

“No, that’s ok. I prefer to stand.”

“Are you sure? You’re swaying a bit,” Sebastian said as he pointed at the chair again.

I didn’t realize I was until he said something. I took a deep breath and did my best to keep myself standing upright.

“It’s fine. Thanks though.”

Why was I thanking him? I needed to focus. I came here with a purpose.

“Kieran, I have a question for you. And I need the truth.”
