George Summer was startled, subconsciously gripping her right wrist, "If I say, last night I thought it was you..."

"Heh..." Tara Summer scoffed, her back to him, "Were you drunk last night?"

She knew he hadn't drunk the day before, but even when he had been drunk in the past, he had always been able to tell people apart!

Was he so desperate to make her forgive him that he would resort to lying?

"Tara..."

"Stop speaking!" She cut him off, there was clear emotional suppression in her voice, "It's too late, I have already accepted Liam Yancey... we simply weren't meant to be."
