Capítulo 2: Chapter 2 - Bandits
The sun basked the green land, the land looked marvelous as the light of the sun reflects on the little grasses on the soil.
Custos stood up as he cleaned the floor and packed the sleeping pad then placing it aside.
He gazed in the spectacular scene in front of him.
"Nature is great, is it not?"
A voice sounded behind Custos as he moves his head to the side just enough to look behind.
"Good morning" Dravi added.
"Good morning" Custos replied.
"I would appreciate it if you do not lie and have no malicious intent, are you simply passing by or do you have other purposes" Dravi said coldly as he stares Custos.
"Pretty straight forward huh, I like that" Custos smiled as he look back at Dravi before looking at the scenery again.
"Just sight seeing" Custos added
"Would you believe that if I say that this was once a bustling port before?" Custos continued.
"This place doesn't have any remnants of any infrastructures or any kind that may resemble a port. All I see is a vast green land and a wonderful ocean" Dravi retorted.
The cabin's door opened and a boy came out.
Dave who was only 14 years old was almost reaching the height of his father. Dravi's height is around 6'2 so Dave's height could be seen to be around 5'10. He had a sword strapped on his waist as he came out from the cabin.
"Father, I am ready to trai- wah. Good morning!" Before Dave could finish what he said he spotted Custos so he greeted him.
Custos replied with a nod then went back to look at the scenery. Dravi who was still perplexed at what Custos said walked away and went to Dave. The father and son walked out of the house to begin their sword training.
"Of course their would be no remnants, after all the port is buried a thousand meters below and the sea level had risen" Custos muttered softly.
The father and son fought, sharpening their skills on sword combat. The were not using wooden sword but real a sword, a very dangerous practice. Every time they parry and clash it would create sparks.
After some time Custos looked at the cabin one last time before leaving without bother the duo. He came as fast and left as fast. Before they could realize it he was already gone from their sight.
"Where'd he go?" Dravi stopped and said to Dave.
"I'dunno father he might have left without telling us to not interrupt our training." Dave replied.
"He left 10 minutes ago already, you two." Milia said while shaking her head. She was leaning on the door frame.
"Who wants some tea?" Milia added.
"But it's so bitter, Mother" Dave said with a down cast expression.
"It's good for your body, son" Dravi replied.
The two stopped their training and went inside to drink the tea that Milia brewed. They were chatting lively.
"Father, I'd like to explore the continent and join those powerful and lawful organizations!"
Dave said in which made Dravi's brows to frown.
"There aint no lawful organization, son. Remeber that!" Dravi said.
Milia who was listing while drinking his tea patted Dravi's back.
"Let the boy speak his almost at the coming of age." Milia said.
"Thats why I am very worried. If he keeps that naive thinking of his I worry that I wont be able to see my boy anymore" Dravi stressed.
"I worry too, I worry too" Milia looked down with a sigh.
Suddenly they heard a gallop of horses coming to their cabin. Dravi quickly grabs his sword that was leaning on his chair as he ran towards the window, looking outside.
"Bandits!" Dravi said, firmly holding his sword.
