Gray’s POV

My feet are planted on the sidewalk as I watch Remi’s little yellow car tear away from me, racing down the street and out of sight when it turns a corner, leaving me feeling a little empty inside without her presence.

I wasn’t expecting to kiss her again, but once I remembered the details of the night before during the silent car ride, I knew I had to taste her soft lips again. If I didn’t, it would drive me insane wondering when I’d have the chance to do so again.

Remi can be infuriating at times with her smart mouth and her inability to take my sh*t whenever I’m acting like an a*shole. But secretly, those are the aspects of her that continually draw me in each day. It’s almost like a breath of fresh air compared to everyone else I have to work with on my team. Whenever I’m in an awful mood, my team will retreat and let me do whatever I want. Remi on the other hand doesn’t shy away, and instead, she wants to know more.
