Prince Juval was so enamored of her beauty to see that she had been deliberately biding her time waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. When she pulled out a table knife she had hidden in her.

It was the shininess of the silver that flashed and caught his eye and alerted him to the danger. Overall, the silver table knife's blade was dull but the tip of it was sharp enough to pierce his skin.

Thank God after years of honing his fighting skills on the battlefield he still had a fast reaction time to surprise attacks. He managed to quickly sidestep the blunt of the attack instead of the chest that she had been aiming for, so it grazed his shoulder.

Juval was fully aware that had he reacted slower the knife would have done more damage and would have sunk deep into his chest than just nicking his shoulder. Regardless, he still bled from the impact of the knife wound.

"Curse you, Juri!" he said as he winced from the pain.
