"I already ate and I am pretty much full." Rory pointed after Mrs Macy left them alone at the table. She didn't know why Derek had ordered for a glass of juice for her even after telling him she already ate.

"Its just a glass of juice. You can't possibly just be sitting there and looking at me while I eat, when you're here with me."

Rory blinked at him again before looking down at the glass beside her. And then she nodded.

Derek ate his breakfast in silence and Rory sat across from him, slowly sipping the orange juice that Mrs Macy brought for her. And though they were sitting in silence, it was not as awkward as Rory thought it would be. In fact, she felt a strange calmness in the silence which made her feel at ease.
