There was a pin-drop silence between the two as no one spoke. Noah kept caressing Alice's back while she rested her head on his chest.

Both of their eyes were wide open as sleep was long gone and all they did was to look at a particular distance without blinking their eyes.

They did have sex but it was all for clearing up their mind from thinking about what happened.

Noah didn't blame Alice for doing it, as he couldn't bring himself to hurt her for such an irrelevant matter.

As they both lay in each other arms, Noah finally decided to break the silence and asked," The words... you said before, it wasn't true right?" 

Noah still could erase the words she utter out of frustration as it left a mark on him. Though he warned her not to say those words again, yet deep in his heart he feared, what if she brings up that topic again.
