Capítulo 394: Chapter 25 - Within The Void

Darkness.

It was all they could see.

There was nothing before them, nothing behind, nothin above and nothing below.

It was like they were in a void, not falling any longer, just hovering in mid air.

Flames emerged from the fingertips of Alaris’s hand but they disappeared as quickly as they appeared, like a great wind that easily snuffed off a candle. Only that the wind didn't exist here.

Here, there was nothing… but them.

Alaris tried again but the same thing happened.

The third time also led to failure but this time around, there was something else.

He could sense it.

A presence.

He pulled Belladonna closer, ensuring that his hold around her was secured.

“I hate invisible things.”

“At least now you know how I felt,” she whispered back.

“That was for your benefit, Nightshade. If not, my beauty would have captured your heart, there would be none left for your poor Eli.”

Something she passed. Belladonna trembled lightly in his hands.
