She watched the other two disappear in the corner as she slowly made her way to the dining area. She was glad that Liam did not notice her. She believed she needed a few seconds to get accustomed to seeing them together.
But she guessed even a lifetime would not be enough to get her ready to see them again, but she did not have a choice. She had to find a way to get through this night, taking several deep breaths to clear her mind.
"Luisa, please join us." The Count was the first to see her since he was facing the doorway.
But as soon as Liam heard his grandfather, he quickly stood and came over to help her. He walked to her side and took her arm to assist her to the seat next to the Count while he took the seat next to her.
She was not expecting that. She thought Liam would walk over to the other side of the table where Eli was and sit next to her. She guessed the charade was not over, not just yet.
