She wished that it was like how it was described in the stories, that all of it came back to her.
In the tales, it was always that a torrent of memories had suddenly been released from the floodgates and that the entire world suddenly became illuminated in a strange way as everything became clear.
Daphne did not have such a moment.
It was only that name.
"Aurin."
The name bounced off the tip of her tongue so easily that it suddenly didn't make sense for her to not have said it countless times before.
The past and the present began to blur into one another as Daphne teetered in place. Her world was spinning as she realized who the boy from her memory was. And what's more, her entire view of her past collapsed as she realized who had been part of that missing gap in her memories.
She knew what she had felt in that dream.
