Daphne thought that she had either heard something wrong, or Korbin's fever was burning through the last of his logic.
"Korbin, now's not the time to think about that. You need to get out of the bath tub right now."
His eyes visibly dimmed.
"I understand." He slumped, a bitter smile tugging at his lips.
It was time that he actually gave her a choice, not some thinly veiled threat or some alliance that she couldn't possibly turn down.
"Once we take down the Grand Minister, you're free to go." He looked at her, his gaze unflinching. "I'll give you your freedom and the Kingdom of Eversun back. We can sign a treaty that promises infinite peace between the two lands, so you can rule over Eversun without having to ever worry about the Northern Kingdom again."
