Capítulo 114: Befriending a Noble

There was just one more house for Daphne to visit before the day ended. She looked out the carriage window.  Since that morning, the before-clear sky had turned a murky shade of gray. 

An unavoidable storm was incoming. 

"How much longer is it until we arrive at the Minister of Treasure's home?" 

This official was the one with he tightest connections to the Grand Minister, the perfect audience for her planned show stopper. 

"We'll be there around a minute." The coachman replied. 

It was a pity that she couldn't tell the exact time right now with the sun obscured behind a wall of clouds. 

Nevertheless, the show would go on. 

Stopping in front of the manor, she asked the doorman to be let into the home. "I would like to meet with the wife of the Minister of Treasure." 

"Please come right in. She's been expecting you." The guard immediately parted ways for Daphne to enter. 

Her eyes narrowed. What was going on?
