Capítulo 83: Datelike Dinner

"Your Highness, what if I prepare the feast instead? You can just bring the wine." 

Korbin hadn't said anything further. He didn't ask what the purpose of the drinks were for nor question Daphne's intentions. 

Perhaps it was her imagination, but his eyes lingered a bit too long on the small bulge in her dress where the truth serum had been hiding. 

She didn't have to hold her breath for too long. 

He soon walked her back to her bedroom in silence. 

"I'll see you tomorrow night. I wish you good dreams." 

Opening the door for her, he stood by the door frame instead of entering. 

As soon as he had left, Daphne slumped against the door, still trying to wrap her head against what exactly had happened.

The next night, Korbin knocked on her door just as dinner time crept by. 

Daphne had already prepared a slender glass full of wine.
