Wallace dragged me out of the car and I yelped because of the pain I was feeling in my ankle. He looked down at my legs and smirked, "Don't worry, our boss will kill you for what you have done himself."
Is that it?.
They didn't want me killed by Fraser's men but by Zavi. How could I not think of that?. But I didn't kill that man, I only gave him a few shots that I didn't know would kill him, I am surprised to know he wasn't breathing. I thought as strong as he seemed to be, he would hold onto a few shots of the Vodka. Yes, I know the spirits Vodka has 95% alcohol and I'm already acquainted with the drink. Remember, I drink every night at the bar. And I've been with such gamblers who took it and are still living.
We climbed the stairs to the hallway and then we reached an elevator. I hadn't seen this earlier in the house.
We arrived at the rooftop and the elevator slid open, my eyes rested on Zavi who stood with his back facing us, he was in his long black jacket and wine was placed in his right hand while the other hand went into his pocket.
He must have seen us when we arrived. A whimper made me turn to the side, there was a human being, I mean a girl tied up on a chair.
He turned around, having a neutral expression on his face, he sipped his wine.
Quickly, I went low on the floor, "Master, please spare me, I didn't know I killed him, I just gave him shots of the vodka but I didn't know he wasn't strong enough to carry such a strong drink. I'm sorry." I was begging for mercy. Why won't I?, I wanted to live.
"You could have just done your job, bitch. Isn't it what I told you?." Wallace asked and I glared at him. He was putting more salt on the wound.
I tried to reply to him but the way the master looked at me made me zip up. He was calm but his eyes were cold, his stares were piercing and they were hard as a rock.
He pulled off his gun from his jacket pocket and my heart gave a skip. He was going to kill me, oh my god. Wallace sure had a knowing smirk cornered at the part of his lips. He looked satisfied, the master was going to kill me, he was going to kill that bitch who talked a lot and never respected him, it was something he'd been looking up for, he knew this day would come and wanted anything more to see him finish me off.
But the master did a side turn to the girl who was tied up at the end. Her face was covered with a sack and I knew she was trying so hard to get free, she could hear our voices but could not see us.
Then, he released the bullet.
Bang!.
I screamed.
This was the first time someone was killed in front of me. Killed with a gun by the demon, my breath seized and I was horrified.
Slowly, I began turning to look at Zavi.
"You..you killed her?." My voice came as a stutter, I was still shocked.
Zavi tucked his gun inside his pocket and looked at Wallace.
"Take her back to her room and clean this mess up."
He bowed.
Looking at Wallace, he was shocked. He didn't expect that and that means he did not know what happened. He was flabbergasted.
He turned around and gripped my arm, digging his long nails into my flesh and I yelped. He had this,' what have you done to my master kind of look,'
"This is the least I can do to hurt you, but I assure you, I'll make sure you don't survive here. You're not wanted,"
In his eyes, there was anger and then there was something else. He just threatened me because his boss favors me more than he does to him, could it be it?. I haven't known yet, that was my hunch.
He dragged me away.
***
The narrator's pov.
Many men scattered around in the hotel as the boiling man walked furiously towards a group.
"You let her escape?. A girl killed our master and you let her escape?." He roared and the men bent down in shame.
"If you don't find her this time tomorrow, I will kill you and everything you ever loved." He threatened and they looked at each other in fear.
"There's no need for that!." Wallace said from behind. He had two men walking by his side, one of them carrying a suitcase.
"What are you doing here?." His anger flared up around him.
"Let's talk maturely," Wallace said to him. He was clenching and unclenching his hand. It was the code, he won't dare fight against the other men without any evidence that they had a hand in it.
He suspects them but does not have anything against them. He turned around and began walking towards a couch and then he sat down. Wallace who followed him up sat opposite him. His guys stood beside him.
"What is it that you want to discuss?." He asked, silently watching Wallace closely.
"I'm sorry that our delegate harmed the leader of your group."
He flared up, "You're sorry?. Is this a child's play?. Does it cut it?."
Wallace could see him boiling in anger but was never intimidated. Zavi's men were the strongest among the groups. They were deadly and dangerous. Wallace can never be scared of another group because he was trained. But then, he was not his second in command, it was something he'd wanted all his life.
"We have her." He said. The man raised his brow, and Wallace continued.
"We have her and we have taken care of it. We're deeply sorry for what happened."
One of Wallace's men dropped the suitcase on the table between them and opened it. A body was cut into pieces and given to him, he looked around and nodded in content.
He stood up and said, "It was nice doing business with you."
They shook hands and Wallace left with his men.
One of his men stepped up and said, "Sir, we have checked the camera and everything which happened in the room was erased."
How do you see the mafia boss?.
