Her hair was tugged in every direction as the maids were working on her since early morning. Arkadios had taken care of the beasts in her stead for the morning and returned yet she was still taking her time, this time's preparation taking much longer than her first tea party.
She wore a primarily silvery-white off shoulder dress with straps, multiple skirt layers of frill and lace, with a sheer layer longer from the sides to the back. The corset was adorned with roses, while the ribbons had jewels as their centerpieces. Her stockings were matching her jewelry, the tiny speckles of gold reminding her of her dreams of constellations.
On her neck were a choker and a tear necklace, shining from a dark midnight blue to a little azure blue with hints of gold speckled in. Her ears had earrings made of gold and pearls at the top, into tear shaped jewels again, and pearls at the bottom of the design. The Argyris crested ring laid on her middle finger, attaching it to a sort of bracelet design.
Her shoes were pretty heels with pearls and frilly roses all around, a little higher than usual to give her an extra height boost. She wasn't quite sure how they did it, but her hair was tied into two small buns with braids along them, adorned with ribbons. All in all, if she had to say something about her outfit, Rosalyn knew how to dress someone up really good.
The fan she was gifted suited this outfit rather than her other ones as it was furry and golden. Rosalyn had mentioned the theme to her, but she didn't really believe it could be done until she saw it now. It took many adjustments, but Rosalyn made the final call of this, an angel of the night. She wasn't allowed to view the area of the tea party ahead of time, but now she couldn't deny she was slightly excited.
She'd spent over a month memorizing etiquette, the current gossip, the names of the people, what they're good for, who would be beneficial, and outside of her lessons she'd spent her time training her beasts and herself to create an everlasting impression on the people around her. She was far from perfect with the latter half, but Arkadios had assured her that she was on the right track for impressions.
When the maids finished she felt her tension leave her body. No more having to sit around for hours while being tugged at. "Come here." She ordered Phius, who only hissed and tried to bite Arkadios as he picked him up to wrap around her neck instead of letting him slither and potentially ruin her attire.
Another thing she'd learned recently was to be more direct. She was already blunt, but Arkadios had suggested her to be even more direct. Do not give people the opportunity to look down on you, that was the rule. Stepping back, he gave a polite bow to her as Phius wrapped himself nicely, his scales shining as beautifully as her eyes.
It was the first time she got a good look at Arkadios since the morning. Even at short notice, Rosalyn managed to prepare him an outfit. He'd mainly brought clothing from the north which she claimed to be unacceptable. Although she wanted to dress him up exactly how she wanted, her own guard talked a bit of sense into her.
Arkadios was still there as her guard, so he got a bit of leeway. A black dress shirt with a lace frill neckpiece, and matching black pants. His brooch had a silver casing, and there was something a bit hard to notice, but amidst the dark colors of the gemstones it held the Elyas crest within it, a tortoise. His pants had pearls strung across from the upper right to a bit lower on the left.
His coat was a white color as an Argyris's personal guard for the time being, with a bit of black fur atop. He wore over the shoulders but hands not in the sleeves. There were black aiguillettes and other small intricate designs for aesthetic. On the inside of the coat were a deep red, with little diamond shapes inside of it. He had heeled boots she thought he did not need and a bit too may laces.
To top it all off his hair was slick back and he got his own hat, it apparently symbolized the uniform the Argyris family's guards wore. In the short time he was here he'd already been accepted and rewarded in a short amount of time. Rosalyn rewarded all of her pupils, including ones that showed up last minute.
"Are you ready, Lady Theia?" He asked, she presumed he'd be escorting her rather than Rosalyn despite her being her guardian for the party. Giving Phius a scratch on the head, she dismissed the maids and hummed in response.
Taking a few steps, she heard him speak up as the maids left them. "Young master Isaac and young master Nyx were unable to return in time. I swear, however, to guard Lady Theia dutifully." He was behind her, but she could tell he was smiling as he bowed.
It was quite the unfortunate fact they wouldn't be there, but when they returned she was sure they'd be impressed by her hard work. If she showed them just how mature she was, would they finally tell her more than they let on, or would she have to pry it out of their hands?
Shaking off her thoughts, she had to go to the venue before any of the guests arrived. "Hurry up." She ordered, choosing to ignore his comment as he caught up with her with ease, shaking his head.
"Allow me." he pardoned himself, taking hold of her hand and teleporting them there, how come he knew the details, did he just know every location in the estate at this point? Slowly blinking, she let her eyes adjust to her surroundings, the place where she'd host her first social gathering.
