Capítulo 7: CHAPTER 11
Adrianna feels so happy today.
It's been a while since she last have some time for herself. Adrianna spent three days having a good bonding time with her dad. They visited the cemetery together and offer their prayers for her mom and had a picnic after that. They also played baseball and ate an ice cream bar after just like the old days.
When it was time for her dad to go back to work, Adrianna noticed that he looks more motivated than before. He must be really stressed and their simple bonding recharged him a lot. Adrianna takes a mental note to invite her dad again to play on his next day off.
Since her dad is going to be busy again, Adrianna is very sure she will not see him for a while. Once her dad goes into his work mode, he will instantly become a strict boss who is meticulous with his work and deadlines. Daniel will not take a break unless he finished checking his work and projects. Fortunately, her dad's secretary is a reliable person who knows when to stop his boss and prevent him from overworking.
Adrianna's plan for today is too simple. She will just stroll inside the mall, buy the things she fancies and enter a restaurant if she feels hungry later. She also needs to buy some supplies for her pet too. After that, Adrianna will decide if she will meet Garret later or not.
Alex has not yet been back in their country. She called Adrianna last night and said her parents requested that she can stay longer with them. Since Alex is also an idle person like her and does not handle any serious work, she said yes and decided to prolong her stay there for a week. Before ending the call, Adrianna jokingly said to Alex that she cannot return to their country without bringing any gifts for her.
Adrianna didn't bother her other friends either. They are probably spending the holiday with their lovers. And Adrianna refused to be their third wheel. Her last resort will be Garret.
But Adrianna doesn't want to see him in the meantime. Although he finished his work on time, Garret should be using his free time resting and getting more sleep instead of meeting up with her. Adrianna rarely answered his calls and texts because the contents of it are much the same.
Garret also dared to use a honey trap for her. Yesterday, he sent her two pictures after working out in his private gym. The first photo was a mirror shot and showed Garret in his black fitted shirt and jogging pants. In the second photo, he removed his shirt and flexed his chest.
He knows very well that his body is Adrianna's top ideal for a man. Together with his handsome face, his whole existence can be a fatal weapon against her. After he sent those photos, Garret asked her if she wanted to have dinner with him. It took Adrianna a few minutes before she replied and declined his invitation.
Her ex-boyfriend surely knows what he's doing. Garret even tried to lure her into his trap. Fortunately, Adrianna can still get a hold of herself. She should become more vigilant in the future and prevents him from luring her with his traps.

Forget it.
Adrianna should focus on her alone time today instead of worrying about her future plans. After taking a deep breath, Adrianna starts entering the shops she fancies and buys herself a lot of new dresses and shoes. She also bought a few pieces of jewelry that will fit her other outfits as well.
She did not spare any shops today. Adrianna bought two to five clothes in every shop she entered today. For the things she cannot bring with her, Adrianna gave them an instruction to deliver the things she bought in her place before swiping her cards to pay for the clothes she purchased. She continued doing this for two hours straight until she gets hungry and decided to take a break.
She already decided where to eat for today's lunch. Adrianna saw a new restaurant nearby and decided to try their food. Adrianna feels a little hungry so she ordered a complete meal course and bought a bottle of red wine. When her food arrived, Adrianna did not waste her time and starts eating it.
After enjoying her lunch, Adrianna decided to stay in the restaurant for a little longer while enjoying her glass of wine. While sitting, Adrianna decided to finally reply with Garret's text. He asked again if she can join him for dinner tonight and Adrianna didn't say yes until she confirmed from Jake that he is not putting his work aside just to see her. While taking a picture of her hand that is holding the wine glass, a couple who enters the restaurant just now catches Adrianna's attention and it makes her feel surprised a little.
She's very sure one of them was her last blind date partner the other month. What's his name again? Peter? Paul? Patrick?
Well whoever he is, Adrianna sees him talking with a young lady. Based on their expressions and gestures, it seems like they are on a blind date. But that's not important. The thing is, Adrianna doesn't want him to see her.
After the shameless skit she made that night, Adrianna doesn't want to be in an awkward situation with him. At least, she doesn't want to ruin their mood today. So to avoid it, Adrianna gathers her things in her left hand and quickly leaves the restaurant. It is a good thing that Adrianna already paid in advance and she doesn't need to stay there anymore.
When she reached the parking lot, Adrianna opens her car with difficulty. With a frustrated sigh, Adrianna put her purse on top of her car and get her car keys. After she successfully get inside the car, Adrianna finally realized why she was having a hard time opening her car.

In her right hand, Adrianna is still holding the wine glass and she even didn't realize it. No wonder Adrianna is having a hard time because she is gathering her things with her left hand only. Does it mean she stole one of their properties now?
"..."
Oh, well. Adrianna doesn't want to go back inside and return the wine glass. Putting the wine glass in the cup holder, Adrianna carefully drives her car to prevent the wine from spilling. When Adrianna arrives at Garret's company building, she brings the wine glass with her and confidently walks inside.
Adrianna ignores the confused looks of the employees who see her and get inside the elevator. While waiting for the elevator to arrive in Garret's office, Adrianna fixed her make-up and compose herself. When the elevator door opens, she walks straight to the office and sees Garret signing a few documents on his desk. Adrianna raised her hand that is holding the wine glass and smiled at him.
"Everyone, please let's give Garret Dawson a lively toast! You are such a wonderful man, Dawson. How can you just leave me and my child without batting an eye? You're heartless!"
Garret, who was about to welcome Adrianna with a pleasant smile, suddenly didn't know how to react for a moment. Garret didn't expect he will see her this early. But it seems like she decided to go early just to show him one of her crazy acts again. Soon, he let out a sigh and just gives her a helpless look.
