Central City was once quiet, too quiet, which made every local wary and paranoid. It had been established dozens of times that when crime wasn't happening, something big was up. That usually involved Tachyon and Flash fighting each other. However, Deathstorm and Myles fought as well, and Flash's beating had been broadcasted all over the news, so everyone was able to evacuate, although some were still caught in the crossfire.
By now, the city was empty, as if it were haunted by something sinister. The wind howled as it blew, and only the sounds of barking dogs, hissing cats, and squeaking mice could be heard all over the city. Even criminals had taken refuge, knowing damn well that the chances of them dying around this time were high.
No one could deny that Tachyon paid his goons well by committing crimes related to three things: assassination, robbery, and hacking. And despite his clear apathy and mindless killings, he made it clear to all of his men that there was a firm line they should never cross or else.
Right now, two figures clad in dark attire huddled in an alley, their faces obscured by masks. John and Smith, partners in crime, engaged in a heated argument as they prepared for a risky venture.
John's eyes darted nervously, his gaze flickering between the towering skyscrapers that surrounded them. "Smith, are you sure about this?" he muttered, his voice a hushed rasp. "Tachyon and Flash are out there, man. It's broad daylight. This is a bad idea."
Smith, a tall and confident figure, scoffed dismissively. "Relax, John," he said, a smirk playing on his lips. "Those two are too busy duking it out with each other. They won't even notice us. Besides, with the city practically deserted, we can hit a few banks and be long gone before anyone knows what hit them."
John furrowed his brow, his concern evident in the creases of his forehead. "I don't know, Smith. It just feels wrong. What if they decide to team up? Or worse, Tachyon sees us? What if he comes after us? This is HIS city, after all."
Smith waved off John's worry with a careless flick of his hand. "You're always so paranoid, John. They're too busy playing hero to worry about a couple of small-time crooks like us. Trust me, this is the perfect opportunity. We'll be in and out before anyone realizes it."
As the argument escalated, the distant sounds of sirens and the occasional burst of energy crackling through the air indicated the ongoing battle between Tachyon and Flash. John's eyes flitted nervously between the skyline and Smith, the gravity of the situation sinking in.
"I'm telling you, Smith, I've got a bad feeling about this," John persisted, his voice tense. "We should wait for a better time."
Smith, however, remained defiant, a cocky grin etched across his face. "Bad feelings are for amateurs, John. We've got a window of opportunity right now, and we're taking it. Stop being such a worrywart."
Right as he finished saying those words, the store they were just robbing exploded. The two thieves shielded themselves from the shockwave and heat before looking at what caused the destruction, only to find Flash groaning in pain.
There was a chilling silence as the two looked towards each other before childlike laughter filled the air. Before the two looked up, they saw Tachyon dropping from the sky with a manical glee, holding a road roller above him.
Barry's eyes widened, and he nearly screamed in fright as he phased through and tried to hit Myles with lightning from the back. Myles backhanded the bolt away and retaliated with his own lightning before using gravity to pull Barry towards the bolt. Barry screamed as he felt his entire body go into shock.
A white blur hovered above Myles as Cage let out a battle cry and tried to kick him. The crazed killer looked up with a bloodlusted smile and caught his leg before slamming him into the concrete hundreds of times before smashing him into Barry.
Cage was then tossed away, smashing through buildings, as Myles proceeded to stomp on Barry in lightspeed. Barry couldn't phase through this time, as Myles would match his frequency and force him to solidify. So he could only block and endure the assault.
Cracks started to form as Myles increased his weight, and Barry gritted his teeth as his bones were slowly about to be ground to oblivion. Cage reappeared and used a whip made of electricity to trip Myles, only for the man to teleport above him and karate chop him on the head. Not finished with his work, Myles then grabbed Cage by the hair and proceeded to slam his face repeatedly while laughing.
Barry grunted, stood back up, rushed in to save Cage, and tried to hit with a mini-tornado, only for Myles to overpower it with his own. Cage teleported again and appeared beside Barry, and the two ran off as Myles chased after them.
The three ran all over Central City, making sharp turns, performing parkours, phasing through walls, and running on walls, all the while throwing lightning at each other.
Barry and Cage looked towards each other before nodding and splitting up. Myles went after Cage as the young child split into five and fired lightning bolts simultaneously. Myles easily absorbed them before firing a black hole, which Cage dispersed by running circles on the edge of it. Cage then created an F5 tornado and sent it towards Myles, which was dispersed with a mighty clap from the kingpin.
The shockwaves from the clap caused ripples in the air as windows shattered, and the ground acted as a tidal wave about to consume Cage. Cage rushed in and phased through the wave, only to be caught by Myles' telekinesis.
His bones creaked as Myles slowly closed his open palm into a fist. With a roar, Cage released a burst of energy, undoing Myles' hold before rushing in and vanishing, only to reappear with thousands of time fragments surrounding Myles while running in a circle around him.
Myles cackled before stomping the ground hard, causing everything from 100 miles away to fall apart while Cage was sent skidding across the ground. Hearing Barry approaching him, Myles leaned his head back and opened a temporal rift, which revealed Barry from the past.
Barry tried to stop and warn his past self to move, but it was too late. His punch connected with the back of his past self and sent him flying to a TV store that was being robbed.
Barry was then yanked back to the present by Myles and proceeded to throw a barrage of punches before kicking him away, catching him mid-air with telekinesis, and didn't waste time squashing him with two cars. Luckily, Barry phased through and escaped death.
Cage passed Myles and grabbed Barry before teleporting away from the fight. Myles was about to chase after them but stopped quickly as he saw a cafe, shrugged, and headed to get himself some tea and biscuits. Spotting a TV, he turned it on before switching to a channel to watch Game of Thrones to pass the time.

Cage stopped at an abandoned hospital before dropping Barry on the floor and sitting down. "Oh man, I knew I was getting my ass whooped, but I didn't know I'd be seeing your ass beat." Cage chuckled between pants before noticing Flash not responding. "Are you okay, man?"
Barry lifted his head and just stared silently at the child. Cage's eyes wandered before scooting a bit farther from Barry. "I take it you're Myles' good side?" Barry asked.
"More like his artificial identity disorder. Getting torn to pieces by two cosmic forces isn't exactly going to leave him sane," Cage responded.
"Myle-" Barry started, but he was interrupted by the kid when he raised his hand.
"Cage, call me Cage; that's what everyone is calling anyway."
Barry blinked but decided to comply. "Alright, Cage, how do we stop him?" he asked, earning a cackle.
"I have no idea," Cage admitted. "I was just winging it until I got my ass beat."
Barry tried to say something but came up empty. Even with his speed of thought, he couldn't figure out a way to get around Myles. "So there's no stopping him," he said.
"I didn't say that." Cage huffed. "More like finding the needle in the pile of needles."
"That did not make sense," Barry muttered.
"I heard that!" Cage glared before continuing to explain. "Basically, we just need to find the correct pathway and force Myles to play his part perfectly." The child's expression turned into frustration as he leaned on a wall. "The problem is that he knows that, and he's not going to play that game."
"How did you lock him out in the first place?" Barry asked.
"I didn't; our mom did," Cage said.
"Come again?" Barry asked while looking completely lost and confused.
"Ah right, season 1," Cage said before starting to explain about the speed force.

"So you're telling me YOU are from another dimension where my life is a TV show?" Caitlin said with a ridiculous look.
"Yes." Snow nodded.
"And Myles comes from the same dimension as you?" Caitlin asked.
"Uh-huh." Again, Snow nodded.
"And you're his psychiatrist and girlfriend-" Caitlin was interrupted by Snow.
"Fiancé, actually... We were going to get married until I got sick," Snow said with a dreamy sigh.
"Right, but that violates-" Caitlin was once again interrupted.
"Honey, Myles waited two years before he asked me out. I didn't violate any rule regarding dating patients," Snow said. "It was kind of neat that I was able to stop a serial killer; not gonna lie, he scared me to hell every time we met."
She wasn't even sure how she missed the signs that Myles was a psychopath on their first day. Oh, don't get her wrong; she knew he was mentally ill, but she had no idea just how deep it was. By the time it was too late, she was way too deep, but strangely, Myles started to show changes, but he made it clear to her that he only needed one reason to go back to killing if she ratted him out.
Caitlin grabbed her by the shoulders and yelled, "Myles is on a rampage! He's been killing, stealing, and causing massive collateral damage ever since he woke up from a coma!"
Snow stared at Caitlin in shock before stuttering, "N-no, I made him promise me that he wouldn't. He changed. You're lying..." She shook her head.
It had to be a lie. Myles wouldn't revert back to his old self; he promised that on her deathbed. He promised he wouldn't kill anymore... No, that's not it... Myles was the type who would find loopholes in his promises.
She tried to recall the last moments of her life with Myles, and her legs suddenly felt weak. The day she died, she saw him crying in sorrow, but there was something she ignored at that time. Joy... He wasn't just crying in sorrow over her passing but also in joy.
Was he happy because she was dead, and that meant he no longer had any reason to uphold his promise? No, that wasn't it. Myles was cruel to his prey and victims, but he wasn't to his loved ones and those who managed to worm their way into his dark heart.
She'd seen it multiple times. Behind the merciless killer was a man begging for something to stop him or at least to give him a reason for why he was born as he is.
She saw him change and try to be a better man after their first sessions. Yet she had ignored the deranged and psychotic look he rarely showed when someone insulted her.
In short, Myles was sad that she died, sad that he could no longer see, hear, or feel her. But he was also happy because she wouldn't be able to see that he would revert back to the man he once was.
Maybe she was just as insane as he was; she had been a therapist for numerous killers, so she might have developed an attraction to them.
She was so deep into her thoughts that she didn't register Caitlin's attempt to snap her out. There was the sound of a slap as a red print was on Snow's cheek.
"Snow, if what you are saying is true... then please, you have to help us. Stop Myles before he destroys everything," Caitlin pleaded.
Snow gave Caitlin a firm look and nodded. "Alright, I'll help."
