Capítulo 37: Chapter 37 : A Tale Of Fury And Sound (1/?)

"A batch of Runic iron, please," Ajel muttered.

But before the boy could go in the back to get it, Ajel politely asked something with a smile.

"Do you mind if I tag along? I would love to see the storage room."

The boy's eyes flashed in hesitation, but he had seen the power of Ajel in the stadium first-hand, so he didn't want to get put in Ashe's situation.

"....sure."

"Thanks."

Ajel's smile dropped when he was behind the boy.

The storage room was past his father's room-

The boy stopped ahead of him.

Ajel was put on guard, but he hid his stance as the boy had his back turned to him.

"Strange.... he isn't forging." The boy's eyes held a volatile beehive of an emotion

Ajel's eyes widened when he heard this, but he shook his head.

"He's probably getting some alcohol from the pantry."

It sounded like Ajel was trying to reassure himself, over the boy.

The boy grabbed a key out of his pocket and placed it in the door, and then slipped it and turned it to the right.

The door creaked open, as Ajel followed the boy inside.

Inside was several sets of shelves, with some weapons and materials of all sorts.

"Have you ever gotten a material from an iceborn animal?"

"Never." The boy said. "things like that belong to myth, sir. Nothing more, nothing else."

"Do you believe in any religions? are there any in Noxus?"

"I don't personally, I do not believe there are gods as well, in my eyes, the only true God is those with strength. I, am just a humble servant." The boy showed a bitter smile. "Noxian's, however, does have several religions, but they all abide by one rule, and that is that they don't restrict somebody."

"An example?" Ajel walked far away from the boy, before coming across a dusty desk with a notebook on it.

Getting closer to it, Ajel looked at it with determination, as his hands reached toward it and opened it.

Ajel's eyes widened on the first page.

"𝑻𝒉𝒆𝒚 𝒂𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒑𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒘𝒉𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒓𝒆." a foreign, dark voice strung out behind him.

Ajel rapidly turned around, and he slammed his sword into the object flying toward him.

it was a shuriken, as he deflected it.

"FATHER!" The boy shouted out, as Ajel had his eyes fixated on the man before him.

"How did you know?" The man said as Ajel snorted codly.

"Runic iron has only three places where it is mined, and they are all in Noxus. The place where you get ahold of it is the Delverhold, and you moved it only two months before Darius The Butcher invaded it and killed all the Rebels. You have been getting shipments of Runic Iron, meaning that you've had contact with them."

"That's a reach."

Ajel looked toward the man. Even when he was called out, his eyes were swallowed up by despair and sadness, and they seemed like a genuine emotion and not an act.

"I'll take the knife to my temple as evidence."

The man stood there.

"How did you block that?" His eyes darkened.

"I have....no idea," Ajel muttered.

Perhaps it was just good reflexes.

"Im guessing since you got sent here, that means that you'll surround me and kill me, correct?"

"Most likely."

A hearty laugh filled the room, one that would not come from a man swallowed by grief.

The man turned his back on Ajel before he walked up to his son.

Did he turn his back on me? might as well strike now.

Ajel grabbed his word adn rapidly threw it at the man's back.

To his surprise, the man did not turn around, as the sword reached his back.

*Cling*

the sword fractured at the man's back, going into tiny little shards behind the man's feet.

"Weak."

Ajel clicked his tongue at these unpleasant words, as he could feel his tattoo reverberate with these words.

"Dad... what are you doing?" The boy backed away from his father.

"Something I should have done many years ago."

Then it happened.

Something that Ajel would never have expected.

A sharp knife slit across the boy's throat, and Ajel watched horrified as the boy's body dropped to the floor.

What kind of man is this? to slit his own son's neck?

The sound of spitting noises filled the room as Ajel watched the man spit on his own son's corpse and then use his leg to boot the corpse to the other side of the room.

"Why," Ajel muttered, his eyes cold. "Why?"

"Why? because he was a waste of space, he should have died, not his mother and his sister. He was a failure, he was everything that I did not want, he was the reason why I drank so much, he was the reason why I became a shitty spy-"

"He was a child," Ajel muttered as he shook his head.

He did not feel a ounce of pity for the man's situation.

"it was his fault! it was his fault!"

"Who are you?" Ajel asked the man, who paused.

"Irelic. Leader of Mercenaries called the boundless wolves."

"You had honour?"

"a lot."

Ajel could feel a burning sensation around his Tattoo, as something seemed to have shape.

"Your a failure." Ajel codly spat out, as a thorn rose sprouted out of his hand, resulting in a spear.

For a second, Ajel could swear that he could feel his sister's embrace on his shoulders , behind him.

"Give in... Ajel.... you call on my power... you call on me." a childish giggling that belonged to his sister ranged out.

Ajel ignored the voice, as he could see the man turn around.

This fight was going to be the hardest fight of his life.
