Frustrated, Derek followed the narrow path nestled between the towering peaks of the two mountains, the silence came with a sense of isolation. The terrain was rugged, stretched out so far he could not see the end even with his godly vision. The rocky ground was worn smooth by countless years of wind and weather and above, the jagged peaks loomed ominously, bringing with it a sense of vulnerability even for someone as powerful as Derek.
After hours of walking, the silence of the mountains was broken by the faint sound of rumbling echoing through the valley. At first, it was little more than a distant murmur, barely noticeable, but as Derek's senses sharpened, he realized that the sound was growing louder, more pronounced with each passing moment.
"Fuck my life!" Derek cursed.
