Capítulo 222: What Bells Knows

David knocked on the open door to Graeme and his father's office. Both males were sitting at their desks, going over what they knew of the rival packs' efforts to advance in any discernible way. It was going to be the topic of the meeting later that afternoon. So far scouts had not found anyone in the area, and they had scoured all of Suicide Forest and the neighboring lakes and meadows. There was no trace of anyone lingering nearby who didn't belong.

"David, how's it going?" Graeme welcomed him, and Sam looked up curiously. He had not known his son planned on stopping by the office. 

"Good, Alpha," David replied with a polite smile. 

"I'm sure you are happy to hear your sister has returned as well," Graeme said, glancing at his Beta who was now back to his usual self. During the short time that Gia was gone with Sage and Theo and Zagan, Greta wasn't the only one who was livid that Graeme had sent their daughter without so much as a word of advance warning.
