Kelly was expecting X to step out of the sedan since he had been the one to assign her this mission, but instead, she was met by U. He was still wearing his usual pinstriped suit and that customized digital mask shaped like a box.

"Good evening, Ms. Jones," U said, making a half bow. "I hope you've equipped yourself adequately for the mission."

"I have all I need," Kelly answered in her usual monotone voice. "Where's X?"

"My colleague is handling other important matters at the moment. Allow me to extend my apologies on his behalf. I will be your handler for this mission. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask me."

At this point, Steve and Natalia both came out of the store. Though Natalia had spoken to the organizers over a secure communication channel, she had never met them personally. Her heart started racing as soon as she laid eyes on the tall man in the suit.
