Fraser dreaded having to go to dinner. Not because he would have to look at his options for a bride, but for the sole fact that Margaret would be there. He wished to go against what his mother said and just have the woman, whom he once thought of as his grandmother, killed since she was out to get him.

"Where is my grandfather? I have not seen him since he was outsmarted by Margaret. Do you think he is ashamed that his plan didn't last? I should have him killed for poisoning me for nothing," Fraser muttered. He went through all of that pain just for Margaret to still be here.

Beth did find it odd that Cedric was nowhere to be seen. She didn't think he could be hiding since Margaret outsmarted him. "Last I saw him, he looked sick."
