I shoot up from my bed sweating from the dream I just had. I remember an explosion blowing up in front of me.
Losing my legs and feeling the suffocating feeling of losing my life. With every breath. Then the cruel smiles of two people.
I put my head in my hands and take a few minutes. I breathe out slowly, calming myself down.
Michael started to speak. "Was it that damn nightmare again?" I sigh and nod my head yes. "I'm sorry to hear that Jake, would you like me lighten your the mood?" I scoff and tell him that none of his jokes are funny. "Fine if that's how it is I guess I go back to the fail montage I created about you."
I pause and look towards the sky. "W-What are you talking about Michael? What montage? You're kidding right." I start to shake a little.
I feel the son of a bitch smile. "Well actually it's all clips about your training with Aki or the times she straight up ignored you when you tried to make your move. And I must say kinda cringe watching it. I should get into editing because I'm a natural at it." Michael finished saying.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa let's be cool here Michael you don't need to make anything like that. I don't even know if I could emotionally handle something like that."
"Actually I already sent it to Gabriel the moment you said I wasn't funny… Oops." he started laughing and I heard him fall out of his chair with a crash.
I suddenly feel shivers run down my back…

I go downstairs and say good morning to my brother and mom. Asking how well they slept. We all sit down to eat and enjoy each other's company. Continuing to talk about the last few months.
I talk about my friends Charles, Scarlett, and Aki. Telling my mom that I've been helping out at the morgue.
After finishing breakfast James gets ready to leave for work, mom and me tell him to have a great day and I follow him soon after.
I hug my mom goodbye and head back towards the train. I enjoy the fresh air blow by.
"Alright Michael, when I get back to the city where do I start looking?" I said.
"Actually here the thing all I can say is that the person you're looking for is in the city. Of course since I'm beautiful and smart and knowledgeable I know where the guy is. But I can't give you that information because it's more fun that way." Michael starts laughing and I of course tune him out again.
I get on the train and sigh, figuring out how long of a day it's going to be. I watch the town go back and turn my back thinking of the next time I should visit.

I get off the train and walk into a restaurant. The waiter says hello and leads me to a table.
"Umm excuse me dear costumer, since we are so busy do you mind sharing a table with someone?" The waitress asked.
I look around and see every seat is full. "I guess I don't mind. So go ahead I wouldn't mind the company." She breathes out a sigh of relief and bows a little.
"Here you are, if you don't mind sharing a table with this gentleman it would be appreciated." The waitress said.
"Hey please don't worry about it, meeting new people is always fun." A man said.
I look up from the menu as the guy sits down and I look at him shocked. "Anderson Turner?"
He sits down shocked. "Oh I'm sorry do I know you? Because I don't think we met." Anderson said.
I coughed in my hands. And look away. "Uhhh yeah you looked familiar. I don't remember where but I know I read about you somewhere." I said praying he believes me.
"Well I guess I am pretty popular. I appeared in a few fashion magazines to be honest with you. I'm glad to be sitting with a fan." Anderson said. Then he asked for a menu.
While he was distracted I pull up my menu in front of my face and started speaking to Michael. "Hey angel what the hell is this?"
Michael responded a little flabbergasted. "Well I knew that he was coming to the restaurant, but to seat at the same table… It's like bringing the final boss to you. If we were in a story it would be like bad writing. Trying to progress the story at a fast pace."
I put down the menu, and look at my target sitting across from me.
