Ophelia watched as Princess Elena departed. Her steps were light as a feather, her shoulder blades thin enough to reveal bones that looked like butterfly wings, and her neck was slender. Princess Elena watched with the grace that none in the world could muster. When Princess Elena turned the corner, vampire servants emerged to accompany her. That is, until she stopped at the sight of a tall man approaching her.

Ophelia's throat tightened when she saw Princess Elena's beautiful eyes narrowing upon Killorn's presence. She paused, expecting him to do something, but Killorn simply shot her a frightening glower. She opened her mouth to say something, but Killorn was already storming past her, showing no courtesy whatsoever.
