"THIS IS FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY!" Micah roared.

This was the first time Micah snapped at her like this. The way he spoke was no different from how her father usually talked to her. Hazel saw in his dark eyes how much anger that he was trying to hold back.

He wanted to give death punishment to Gillian because of what happened, even though it was out of impulse. If Hazel was not his mate, she couldn't imagine what kind of death that she would go through, knowing how angry Micah was right now.

Before, when Micah asked her to stay in this manor, he pleaded with her, which made her relent and then agree with him.

But right now, he was full of anger.

"Hazel, please understand," Micah said. His voice softened as his eyes filled with grief. It was not his intention to hurt her and he didn't intend to snap at her like that.
