Capítulo 87: Blind date

One beat. Another. 

''Mm?" 

''I didn't mean it... I mean I was not asking you to not call me... You can call me anytime you want. I will even pay for your deep and nice voice...no, I mean, I was just not myself a second ago. Just...'' Elvina closed her eyes and placed her palm on her chest, rubbing her finger on the spot as she tried to calm her racing heart, ''Just don't be angry, okay?" She added the latter part in a small voice as if she was talking more to herself than him. 

How did she become a stuttering mess? She felt helpless. 

As if the realization of his mood being directly proportional to hers was sinking on her. 

The slap, her Aunt's words...somehow shifted to the back of her head and at that moment when she thought he was going to hang up, she felt this intense urge to stop him. To keep him... on line. To hear his words that she hadn't let him finish earlier. 

And she acted on that urge only to be met by his silence.
