After the sweet sex, they rested in one another's arms. Declan was content. His dream of becoming a father would come true soon. But some questions still agitated him. He wanted to know if she genuinely wanted a baby or if it was his desire that prompted her to make this decision.

"Hmm…" She hummed tiredly, motionless in his arms.

He fell silent. "Look, I am not pressuring you. You can take your time if you want."

She put her fingers on his lips. "I won't let you suppress your desire anymore. I thought about it the whole night. I feel what I am doing is wrong. This is totally unfair to you."

"Hey, it's okay." He kissed her brow, trying to convey that he had no complaints about her.

"Let me finish, Declan. At this point, I am wrong. What happened back then was undoubtedly wrong. Those memories haunt me. But I shouldn't hold you accountable for it."
