Marcus walked in with a big smile on his face. He appeared to be delighted. That made Earl pause and frown at him.

"You seem happy," he said, curling his lips upwards.

"Yes. I finally found two plots… one in the suburbs and the other in the city. Both are good, but you should go for the city site, which is on the connecting road to the sea-high area." Marcus' face lit up with a beaming smile.

Earl was happy as well to hear such good news after such a long time. His smile, however, disappeared as soon as something crossed his mind.

"How did you get the plot in the city? Is Declan behind it?" He gave him a suspicious look.
