The two people's age difference was a decade apart, and it was actually so naive of Erick to go against Duke Fez. 

However, as this world's male protagonist, Erick still had his protagonist halo and successfully created his own faction, which then he used to support Lizeth. 

Now, the whole army knew that Erick and Duke Fez were from two different factions, and they naturally disliked each other! 

In the original storyline, the two never clashed because Duke Fez sided with Lizeth. 

Duke Fez even became Erick's role model and idol. 

But the storyline changed, and the two people supported different people too. 

This caused a conflict between the new and the old generation. 

When Erick heard that his father wasn't invited to attend the new prime minister's welcoming banquet, he crossed his long legs and snorted.
