Capítulo 48: Split Society

"Why have we yet to overrun the defenses of the humans till this point?" Domamu asked as he looked over the projections of the various council members that oversaw the smooth running of their civilization.

"The resistance of the humans is much greater than what we had expected." One of the council members who presided over the military operations on the frontlines responded with a twisted expression. The Xenon's name was Koruk, and he was a heavily augmented man. His skin was a dark brown and was covered with many scars. The man had refused to get rid of the scars even though the Xenon had long since developed such technology. In fact, many of the Xenon were like that and wanted to keep all the proof of their power on their bodies instead of erasing them.

"What do you mean their resistance is much greater than we expected? Had we not taken everything into consideration?" Domamu asked in a dangerous tone.
