Staring at a hurting Jihoon, Han Seong had so many assumptions, but one stood out more than anything. The mate bond was taking effect and it wasn't going to be in the most pleasant of ways.

Someone was going to be hurting or rather both the mates would be hurting, which raised even more questions.

Looking at his friend, Han Seong wondered how dumb Jihoon had to be not to open his eyes and see what was right in front of him. It was almost like the man wasn't even aware that his saving grace had always been within his reach, always.

"What happened with Kim Rania?" Han Seong asked and Jihoon looked at his old friend curiously.

He was hoping that Han Seong was bluffing but the sight that met him was different. It was like the warlock wanted to know what it was that had happened, as if he didn't already know.
