Mona instantly turned to rock as she cried softly, not knowing what to do. With the torchlight now facing the floor, she could see the creatures barefooted feet coming her way.

Not only that, she could hear their growls and smell their bad breath. She knew they were coming closer, her body could feel it.

She wasn't as scared as she was the first time she beheld them because she had run out of energy to feel scared. Her jaws were clenched as she waited for their attacks. This means she wouldn't see her parents anymore, she wouldn't see Kenny anymore, she was dead!
