After resting for about 10 minutes to eat and gather their strength, the three of them packed up their things and took off once more.
But this time, they made sure to hide their presence as well as any other factor that would give their enemies an easy way to follow them.
This meant avoiding any and all confrontations with beasts on the way.
Which… It was easier said than done.
The only thing beasts had to detect them would be their scent and eyes.
The surrounding area was so dark that it was relatively impossible to see without some night-vision ability.
This only left their scent, which Arvell solved by pulling a few aromatic herbs from his inventory and combining them to make a reasonably neutral scent.
After properly caking themselves in this mixture, the two were virtually undetectable.
However, their surroundings were just as hard to detect.
Thank you to everyone who is still continuing to support my story!
If you would like to talk to me or give me advice, feel free to join my discord server (it's pretty dead, so I need more people), and I should respond within a couple of hours of a ping.
I would also like to thank TheSilentSiren for gifting me not only a castle but also a car as well. Despite not doing much in the past couple of months to earn this kind of donation, I'm incredibly thankful that you would be willing to spend that much to support me. It means a lot, and I can't thank you enough for this.
On a side note, though, I have a couple of chapters (16 or so) of a book I plan on publishing in the far future if I ever decide to. The link is on my Discord server if you want to read it and give me your thoughts. It still lacks a name, so any good names would also be welcome.
