Xenon's hand had gone up quite a good measure now and it lingered for a moment just an inch from her inner thighs, his thumb twirling slowly over the fabric of her breeches.

"I have made the necessary arrangements. There is a more pressing matter at hand." King Jian reminded.

"Fort Blazed." Orin murmured knowingly.

When Xenon's hand moved once again, Neveah stiffened visibly.

Sitting upright on her chair in a casual move, she pressed her thighs together to cut off Xenon's path, just in case he was insane enough to attempt what Neveah suspected he was going to.

Neveah's movement had been executed naturally enough that it had not caught any attention, none except Xenon's gaze which moved to settle on Neveah.

Neveah ignored Xenon's stare, keeping her gaze fixed ahead of her.
