Capítulo 264: It Wasn't His Problem Anymore

Things were fine the way they were. Derek wasn't going crazy sharing a room with Joy anymore and thinking things he definitely should NOT be thinking as nothing but a friend. They were able to do their own thing without any other people they didn't know well interfering.

He knew she would never love him back as more than her best friend so this was as good as it was going to get. Being able to see her every day without the stress of extra roommates.

She would never get over her husband anyway. There was no use worrying.

Paul Webster must have been quite a guy. Joy didn't talk about him often these days but she had talked about him a lot when the grief was still relatively fresh. How he was handsome, funny, sweet, romantic, talented and all that.

Derek wasn't any of those things. He was relatively average looking, was shorter than her, and couldn't be considered funny, sweet, romantic, OR talented at anything.
