"Are the monsters in this game giving you a hard time?" Aiden asked lightly.

He was still sitting in Lucien's lap, his face cuddled into Lucien's neck, his frail hand tracing the back of Lucien's neck.

"No, they did not," Lucien denied. "It's just…"

"Just?"

"I was wondering what's happening, why is that demon lady scared of you? Why keep you in chains? What's the connection you have to the secret of this village?"

Hearing his question, Aiden giggled. "Nothing."

Aiden slipped his hands down. From holding Lucien's neck, he wrapped his two frail hands around Lucien's waist. His head rested against Lucien's shoulders.

"That demon lady received an order from the higher being to keep me chained up in this cursed temple, where her powers were concentrated, to keep me as her power supplier I think? So that her powers will not run out."
