"Why can't you go up?"

Lucien directly questioned Langris. For a few seconds, Langris did not speak a word. After a few more minutes, Langris finally sighed and answered. 

"Because I could not overcome my weakness." Langris touched his neck, feeling ashamed because he had been in the Association for a while now but he could not get past the tenth floor trials. 

Moreover, he was also feeling ashamed of himself against this overpowered newbie who just show up for a week and then get chosen as a candidate in the association. Not to mention he just entered the Blood Tower in that same week. 

More and more, Langris felt he was too weak, like a low – level nobody that kept bouncing around aimlessly. Such a character would be done for sooner or later in survival fast paced world like the Blood Tower.

As Langris was lamenting about his weakness, Lucien suddenly said, "If you are weak, then I am lucky."
