"Do you have any special requests?" the old creepy lady asked Bella, holding breakfast in front of her.
"No, I want nothing. I'm not hungry either," replied Bella, in the same tone she used on her.
"Master specially told me to inform your that you can leave after breakfast," the old lady haughtily said, rolling her eyes, which made Bella think what kind of problem this old woman had with her.
"Did he come to my room? And how did my dresses dry, and the door was unlocked while I locked the door last night before sleeping?" Bella asked, to relieve the tension inside her. She wanted answers before leaving this house.
"Yes, we are demons and devils. We can go anywhere and anytime," the old woman said and chuckled. However, Bella didn't feel it was funny. Rather, she thought that this woman had a problem.
"My stomach is not feeling well, so I skip this breakfast. Please tell Mr. Luther I am very grateful for his kindness but I need to leave now," Bella politely refused the lady. Genuinely, she didn't want to stay with this lady alone in a room.
"Sure, have a great day, miss Isabella," the old lady said and step aside for Bella to leave. Bella forced a smile on that lady and walked out of the room.
After coming out, she wandered her eyes to see the man as that lady mentioned nothing about him neither he showed up.
"He is not here, miss Bella. Sorry," the old lady suddenly spoke behind her, and Bella got startled.
Bella turned behind her and saw the lady was locking the door.
"Sorry, can you tell me if there is any stop, where I can get a cab?" Isabella asked when the old lady turned and smirked for no reason.
"I'll find it myself. Thank you," Isabella said to the lady who hadn't opened her mouth yet, as if she needed eternity to answer a single question. Bella surely believed this woman had problems and better for her to stay away from her.
Isabella hastily walked to the main door to get out of this mansion when there a voice spoke behind her, "Master has told me to inform you to take one car or walk twenty miles to get a cab. It's your choice."
Although the sudden voice scared her. Her steps didn't stop, and she strode out. The weather was cold, but the view of the mansion could capture anyone's soul. She was lost in the mansion's magnificence.
Last night she didn't notice anything as her nervousness and fear overpowered her mind and body, but today she could see the beauty. From inside and to the outside, this mansion was built for a royal family. If one will visit, they will agree with Bella.
However, Bella no longer wanted to be here. Just then, a car honked in front of her when she was thinking about all this.
The car was not the previous night's car, which she rode with Alexander, and one of the worst rides ever as well.
Bella opened the front seat door and climb inside. She saw the old driver, who smiled at her and started the car. Bella wondered if he knew where to take her, so she asked, "Sir, please take me." But she was interrupted by the man before she could complete it.
"I know, miss. Don't worry," the man said while driving. Bella returned her answer with a smile. "Thank you, sir."
Bella looked outside and saw the vivid foliage and tall trees on either side of the road. Pleasant and soothing were the two words her heart was complementing the place. She always loved being close to nature, and this place was perfect.
Nevertheless, she couldn't help but praise Alexander's choice, which was a bit odd in terms of his nature.
Momentarily, a call broke her trance. Her father called her and she felt her fingers tremble to receive it. And a big lump stuck in her throat made it hard for her to utter.
All of a sudden she heard the driver say, "Miss, your phone is ringing. Do you have any problem?"
"Haha! No. It's from my father, thank you," Bella replied with an awkward smile and picked up the call.
"Hello, dad. Good morning."
"Where are you, Bella?" Bernard asked. His voice was natural and relaxed, which made Bela confuse as she failed to comprehend her father's mood.
"Dad, I am on my way," Bella answered with a turmoil heart. She was feeling bad about lying to her father over and over. The last time she lied because she got in an accident. Today she would have to lie again.
"I am waiting. Come quick." She heard her father hang up the call after saying. Instantly, it gave a pang of guilt to her heart.
"What happened? You seem in trouble," the driver asked after Bella put down her phone.
"Nothing Sir. My father is worried," Bella answered and added a question to the man, "Sir, how long have you been working for Mr. Luther?"
"When Mr. Luther came to this world," the man answered casually, but it made Bella confused. She couldn't help but ask to dispel her confusion. "You mean since his childhood?"
However listening to her, the man laughed out loud and Bella smiled too, but awkwardly. She didn't understand which words of hers sounded funny.
"Yes, Miss. You are right?" The man answered.
Bella nodded and didn't continue the conversation, and neither did the man. He drove the car straight to Bella's home which made Bella perplex how did this man know her exact address. However, thinking about his master, Bella held her tongue.
Bella reached home after one hour and thanked the man who drove carefully. That's why she got the chance to see the beauty around that mansion.
As she entered, the first thing she got was a hug from aunt Merry.
"Good morning, darling. Have you eaten anything?" Merry said and broke away from the hug.
"No," Bella answered with a smile. In truth, she hadn't brushed her teeth yet. After that she drifted her gaze to her father's room, holding her breath when she heard her aunt Merry whisper, "He isn't angry. Don't worry."
Isabella looked at Merry and nodded, feeling relaxed a bit.
"Go to your room and clean up fast," Merry said again.
Bella went to her room in her aunt's assurance. When Bernard came out of his room and looked at Merry.
"She is scared and nervous. Talk to her with a smile. She is guilty, I can see on her face. So, take it easy. There is nothing wrong with going out with friends and staying the night with them," Merry advised Bernard.
After one hour, Bella, with her college bag, came to the breakfast table and saw her father and Merry were waiting for her and they smiled at the sight of her.
"Dad, I am sorry. I tried a lot to call you, but the call didn't make it through," Isabella started, glimpsing her father.
"It's alright. I understand," Bernard quickly retorted Bella's words. And Bella knew it was her father's forced response.
That time she didn't think twice and opened her call log for her father to see. It quickly changed Bernard's mood. The vexation in his heart suddenly vanished away because he could see how many times her daughter had tried to call him.
"I believe you. No need for this. But next time inform me beforehand," Bernard said and kissed his daughter's forehead.
"Yes, Dad," Bella replied, and Merry served her breakfast before adding a question, "Don't you have early classes?"
"No. I have one class in the afternoon," Isabella replied and drank the juice.
Everything went pretty normal while Isabella saw the newspaper, which was on the breakfast table. Her father's morning habit was to read the newspaper on the breakfast table before leaving for work.
"Dad, give me the newspaper, and when will you go to work?" Bella asked. And took the newspaper from her father's hand.
"O, today we have a little party in the office. That's why everyone will come later," Bernard said, but nothing went to his daughter's ears as Isabella had gone crazy in jealousy upon seeing the newspaper.
A woman was clinging to Alexander, and it was the same woman, Angela. In a fit of rage, Bella tore the newspaper in front of everyone and stood up to leave.
"What happened Bella?" Bernard asked, following his daughter as she was leaving the house in anger.
"Nothing, dad. I'm taking your car today," Bella said but didn't look back while making her way to the car.
