I didn't know how badly I needed to hear that. As soon as she says that, something in me lightens. It's as if my shoulders aren't heavy anymore, as if my chest isn't tight, as if my stomach is no longer burning. The numbness is no longer there.
Tilting her face up so I can see her properly for the first time in days, I smile down at her. I miss her dark brown eyes and luscious lips, her long, smooth hair, and her beautiful face. I miss everything about her. Tucking her hair behind her ear, I cup her cheek and tell her, "I missed you." Then I kiss her on the lips and show her just how much.
She moans a long one and I don't stop until we're both breathless. But before we go any further, I break the kiss and press our foreheads together. I want to devour her, but I need to get out of this plane because Rusty's words from earlier are still echoing in my head. "You want to show me around?"
