We're staying at the same hotel like the last time we were in New York. But this time, we're sharing just one room—fucking finally—while my men are staying in the other room. They would take turns staying guard and resting.
Riri has fallen asleep in my arms. It was a long and tough day for her, grieving for her uncle. So when we arrived at the hotel, I drew her a bath, and then we went to bed. She fell asleep almost as soon as she laid her head on my chest, hugging me so tight as if she didn't want to let go of me.
As for me, I haven't received as many death stares as today. Her family either welcomed me or just didn't mind my presence—and I can deal with that. Some of the guards…not so much. If the last time they wanted to take a jab at me, now they want to put a bullet between my eyes.

NixxxiE Hi, I've been busy lately, hence the delayed update. But updates will be regular again soon. Also, I just want to come on here to let you know that Hellfire is coming to an end. Not very soon, but perhaps at the end of this month or early December.
I know, it's the shortest novel that I've written so far, but it's always been the plan. And it's been such a great experience for me writing it. I've learned a lot and I will continue to learn more. And I will miss Riri and Yan so much. It's been five months since Gael and Angela ended and I still dream about them.
Believe me when I say, I truly get it because I'm a huge reader. For those following me on IG, in recent weeks I've posted my reads. I can read up to a hundred books per year, more if I don't have to write books, so I'm not just saying it, I really do understand. I don't want my favorite books to end too. I want to read about them forever. But Hellfire's ending has already been set, and didn't they say all good things come to an end?
However, while Hellfire is ending, a new one will come. Book 3 of De Luca Series, baby! Who's your guess?
