Capítulo 47: No Babies?!

The peeking of the sun did not wake her up. It was a loud banging on the door. Priyanka wondered who she had offended this early. Last night, it seemed like it will never end.  Kamala sobbed like a baby. She was afraid that Karan's family will not accept the marriage. 

Priyanka thought it will be a great idea. But after seeing her mother weep like that, it was becoming the worst idea. 

She covered her face with the sheet lazily, thinking the person at the door would go away but they didn't. The banging continued.

She swished dryly across the papers on the floor.

Priyanka remembered last night. It was a drawing of Karan as a beast. She stared at the horns and they gave her peace of mind. Dropping the paper on the floor, she headed for the door. 

It was Mrs. Khan and Zara. Last night Kamala gave the information and they were here to scold her "Namaste Aunt."

"My girl, come here" Mrs. Khan hugged her tight. "Congratulations."
