Capítulo 100: Mixed feelings

The night passed and the next day, we took over the capital. We'd arrived just after sunrise, so we didn't get even a speck of sleep. Not that I was craving sleep but the army looked kind of dead… 

The Marquis's domain was next to the capital but still half a day's journey away- so I didn't bother with it today…

An additional 289 soldiers had died last night and I had a report stating another 100 were likely not going to make it to tomorrow. 

We returned the dead back to their families along with small sums of money enough to maybe last them a month.

That was the best the state had to offer… but I did promise them new jobs and new lives.

In fact, the first thing I did was to hold a public speech.
